The slab production line at Hebei Yanshan Iron and Steel was upgraded in 2010. All sector sections on-site now use oil-air lubrication, totaling 1320 lubrication points.
The monthly oil consumption was 15 barrels. If grease lubrication were used, 60 barrels would be needed per month. After the upgrade, monthly oil consumption was reduced by approximately 105,000 yuan.
Before the upgrade, each sector section had a service life of about 4 months. After the upgrade, the service life of each sector section is more than 8 months, approximately doubling its lifespan.
