What's the difference between positive pressure and no pressure inside the bearing housing?

Release time:

2025-08-15

Using an oil air lubrication system maintains a constant positive pressure within the bearing housing under the action of compressed air, providing a good seal.

This also prevents iron oxide scale and water from entering the bearing housing, and keeps the bearing clean by preventing dust, iron oxide scale, water vapor, and other impurities from the surrounding environment that are detrimental to bearing lubrication.

Conversely, without pressure in the bearing housing, debris and water can easily enter, damaging the bearing.
