Traditional lubrication methods have several significant drawbacks, such as low lubricant utilization, environmental pollution, and high maintenance costs. The application of oil-air lubrication not only improves these problems but also reduces worker workload and equipment failure rates.

Oil-air lubrication, known in academia as "gas-liquid two-phase fluid cooling lubrication technology," involves mixing separately supplied lubricant with compressed air to form a turbulent oil-air mixture, which is then sprayed onto the lubrication points as fine, continuous oil droplets.

Oil-air lubrication uses high-viscosity lubricating oil and provides the bearing with a sufficiently thick and load-bearing two-phase film, ensuring the bearing is in a well-lubricated state. Simultaneously, compressed air overflows from the bearing housing, carrying away a significant amount of heat and lowering the bearing temperature.

Oil-air lubrication forms a gas-liquid two-phase film that combines the effects of hydrodynamic and hydrostatic pressure. At high speeds, it can form a complete gas-liquid two-phase film, separating the relatively moving friction surfaces and thus providing lubrication.

In the application of oil-air lubrication in air-cooled roller conveyors, oil-air lubrication results in low lubricant consumption, high lubricant utilization, and no environmental pollution, while also reducing equipment operating and maintenance costs.
