Can Progressive Distributors Be Used in Grease Lubrication Systems?

Progressive distributors are widely used in various centralized lubrication systems and are not limited to oil-air lubrication. In fact, they are fully compatible with grease lubrication systems, making them a versatile solution for different industrial applications.

The working principle of a progressive distributor is based on a sequential (progressive) distribution mechanism. Lubricant—whether oil or grease—is delivered by a pump into the distributor, which then dispenses it in a controlled sequence to multiple lubrication points. Each outlet provides a precise and proportional amount of lubricant, ensuring consistent and balanced lubrication across all connected components.

This design allows the system to meet the specific lubrication requirements of each point, improving lubrication efficiency and reliability. In grease lubrication systems, progressive distributors are particularly effective for applications requiring accurate dosing and centralized control, such as bearings, chains, and mechanical transmission components.

By ensuring uniform lubricant distribution and reducing the risk of under- or over-lubrication, progressive distributors help extend equipment life, lower maintenance frequency, and improve overall system performance.
