How Does the Gear Pump Work in an Oil-Air Lubrication System?

Release time:

2025-05-21

In an oil-air lubrication system, the gear pump operates in an intermittent mode, ensuring stable and precise lubricant supply. The pump working cycle is controlled by system oil pressure. When the oil pressure drops below 50 bar, the gear pump automatically starts to deliver lubricant. Once the pressure reaches 70 bar, the pump stops operating.

This pressure-based control ensures that the system maintains a consistent and reliable oil supply without overloading the system.

Pressure Monitoring and Stability

The oil pressure is continuously monitored by a digital pressure switch, which provides accurate feedback and controls the start-stop operation of the pump.

To further stabilize the system, the main lubrication station is equipped with an accumulator. The accumulator helps maintain steady pressure levels and reduces pressure fluctuations during operation.

Ensuring Lubricant Cleanliness

In addition, a high-pressure filter is installed in the system to ensure the cleanliness of the lubricant. This prevents contaminants from entering the lubrication circuit, protecting critical components and improving overall system reliability.

By combining pressure-controlled operation, stable oil supply, and effective filtration, the gear pump plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of oil-air lubrication systems in industrial applications.
