Oil-air lubrication systems are known for their wide adaptability to different types of lubricants, making them highly flexible for various industrial applications. Unlike some lubrication methods that require strict oil specifications, oil-air systems can operate effectively with a broad range of lubricants.

In general, the following types of lubricants can be used:

  • Low-viscosity oils (thin oils)
  • Semi-fluid greases
  • Even lubricants containing a high proportion of solid additives (such as anti-wear or extreme-pressure particles) can be reliably delivered through the system

This flexibility allows oil-air lubrication systems to meet the needs of different working conditions, including high load, high temperature, and complex environments.

In terms of cleanliness requirements, oil-air systems are relatively tolerant. Typically, a lubricant cleanliness level of NAS 9 or better is sufficient for stable operation. Most standard new oils available on the market already meet this requirement and can be used directly without additional treatment.

Thanks to this combination of broad lubricant compatibility and moderate cleanliness requirements, oil-air lubrication systems are easy to implement and maintain, while still delivering high-performance lubrication and long-term reliability.
